So, you or your team have spent hours creating a freebie that you can share with people who subscribe to your email list…
But there’s a problem…
No one is signing up.
Look, I know what it’s like to spend hours in Canva creating printable downloads for email subscribers.
I started creating freebies way back in 2015 for my magazine, Memoirs of a Virtuous Woman.
But the thing is – I tapped into one critical piece to the puzzle:
The TRUE needs of my target audience.
So, if no one is signing up to your email list after you’ve shared all the exciting details about your freebie, it could simply be because your freebie doesn’t align with your target audience’s needs.
While it may seem fun putting it together, you’ve got to ask yourself a few questions, including:
Is this something that my ideal client or customer needs?
Does it solve a pain point?
If you answer no to those questions, then you don’t need to create it.
Now, you’re probably thinking, how do I find out if my freebie will truly meet my ideal customer or clients right where they are?
Well, the best way to do that is by asking questions.
Poll or survey your current email subscribers and people who follow you on social media.
Another great way to do this is by jumping into Facebook or LinkedIn groups where your ideal client or customers hangs out and ask market research questions.
These methods will give you a gold mine of ideas in terms of what to create for your freebie.
They’ll also save you time and frustration – and we know that’s a win in business.
So tell me, do you plan to try these methods?
