How to Prep for the Holiday Season Digitally

by | Oct 22, 2019 | 0 comments

Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Small Business Saturday are coming! They’re all coming at once! Mark them on your calendar for this year’s holiday season!

  • Black Friday – November 29th
  • Small Business Saturday – November 30th
  • Cyber Monday – December 2nd

Is your brand prepared?

In reality, preparing your business for the holidays should begin in July! It’s not too early, considering all of the layers in the process. However, if you didn’t start in July, no worries! I’ve got you covered.

I stress cohesiveness and consistency, throughout the year. However, I believe that both are a critical part of your branding during this time of the year.

Just ask the experts of the National Retail Federation.

According to NRF holiday retails sales in November and December are expected to increase in 2019.

How do you get in on all those holiday dollars?

Start with the primary basis of your business online – your website. Are the following things correct?

  • Website loading properly
  • Mobile friendly
  • Non-broken links
  • Proper inventory uploaded.
  • Clear and engaging website copy

In the spirit of the holiday season, think outside of the box and add a little holiday flair to your website. Make it feel cozy for the holidays or for each of the upcoming shopping days.

Once people are wowed by everything that you’re offering during this “wonderful time of the year,” lock them in with your email list. Your email list is a necessity in growing your brand. You’re able to notify customers about your special deals and new products or services.

These emails should be engaging. Incorporating brand storytelling into your emails is a plus in my book because that’s the core focus of how I help brands like you! Your customers want to know that they matter. They want you to place yourself in their shoes. Share what their heart desires. If you’re stuck on where to start with copywriting in your emails or on your website, let me help you create copy that converts here.

Now, that you have the tech and copy of your website and emails covered, let’s get social! The key is to fully engage with your target audience. This is done with the proper social media strategy tied with the perfect copy and social media graphics.

  • Promote your offers
  • Incorporate LIVE or recorded videos
  • Use Instagram and Facebook Stories
  • Include relevant hashtags based in your niche and location
  • Host a contest or giveaway

If you need help, leveraging your social media content with the appropriate graphics, let me guide you in the process here.

Are these tips helpful for you?

If so, let me know and share with other business owners who are looking to leverage their content as well. Let’s make this holiday season magical for your current and potential customers.
