Around here, I believe your email list is pretty special…
After all, your subscribers are the people who take time out of their precious day to hear or read what you have to say. I personally pop into my subscriber’s inbox every week, with valuable content.
So why build your email list?
Well for quite a few reasons…
If you’re neglecting email marketing you’re likely putting all your eggs in one basket with social media – which isn’t good.
Here’s the reality: You own your email list. You don’t own social media.
Secondly, you want to make sure you’re building that know, like, trust factor with your tribe of people.
But how do you do exactly that?
Well, let’s get right into those 3 ways to instantly build your email list…
1. Give your tribe something valuable
If you haven’t already, a resourceful freebie for your audience is a sure-fire way to build your email list. However, you don’t want to offer them just any freebie.
Make sure your freebie aligns with your signature offer, services, program, or course. Your freebies can look like a checklist, roadmap, masterclass, or a unique 5-7 day challenge.
At the end of your freebies, you want to make sure that you’re giving a strong call to action that guides people on what to do next.
Maybe that’s something like booking a call with you or connecting with you on social media.
2. Be strategic about your call-to-action on social media
For example, if you have a Facebook page, add your call-to-action to your page using the Facebook business page button feature.
If you have an Instagram page, place a call-to-action in your bio that says something like sign up to my email list for [xyz] or grab your free checklist for [xyz].
Be sure to also include an arrow emoji that directs them to the link.
You can also give clear call-to-action in your social media posts that direct people to sign up to your email list.
3. Always share valuable content
Simply sharing valuable content with your email list does wonders.
The people who join your email list will likely tell other people in their network about your email list. They’re also likely to take screenshots or a quick video and share in places like their Instagram stories.
Sharing valuable and consistent content with your subscribers has an opportunity to reach more people than you’ve ever imagined.
Lastly, stop worrying about having a small email list.
The key is to focus on your tribe’s needs and everything will grow from there.
