CONFESSION: My notes app is out of control!
Because I’m always keeping a running list of story ideas for content.
When I left TV news, I brought this habit – and many others with me.
So, instead of jarring my mind during content creation days, I can dig into my story bank of ideas to crank out compelling story-driven content.
Storytelling SELLS.
And it can ease your stress if you’re wondering:
⚡ What content should be part of your email newsletters
⚡ How to relate to your potential clients or customers on social
⚡ How to paint engage your audience in an exciting launch.
Now, starting today, pull out a notepad or journal to write down one key story from your day that can be used for future content.
Make it a habit to do this at the end of every day.
Simply include a few bullet points that make it easy for you to recount the story in the future.
These stories can be about:
🔎 Something challenging from the day
🔎 A win from the day
🔎 A great conversation with a client or customer
The list goes on AND on…
The key is to have a bank of stories that your potential clients or customers can relate to.
They want to feel some authenticity and empathy.
As a copywriter and story strategist, I’m always asking my clients to share key stories with me.
These stories help me write COMPELLING copy.
Now, tell me, do you plan to take 10 minutes a day to write down a key story from your day?
