Content Strategy vs Content Planning

by | Apr 1, 2020 | 0 comments

What is the difference between a content strategy and content planning?

While these two terms are used interchangeably, they are not the same. Here’s why:

Before you get to the good stuff – meaning executing your content on your website and social media channels, a content strategy needs to serve as the foundation.

If not, your actual content will be scattered all over the place.

Be mindful that your content stratey defines where your brand is going. It serves as the “how” and “why.”

Meanwhile, content planning defines not only the type of content that will be published on your website and social media channels, but also when this content will be posted. Just like your strategy, planning must be intentional.

For instance, in the planning stage you want to think of themes related to your brand’s goals and the needs of your audience.

Hopefully, these tips are helpful!
