From Skeptical to Sold: Building Trust with Email Marketing

by | Jan 10, 2023 | 0 comments

Email marketing can often be seen as a way to make quick sales and bring in revenue.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely an effective tool for driving sales. But it can be so much more than that. By shifting your perspective and viewing email marketing as a long-term relationship-building strategy, you can create deeper connections with your audience.

But what does that exactly entail? Well, let’s take a look.

Storytelling

Gone are the days of generic mass emails that are sent to every single person on your email list. In order to build relationships, you need to make an effort to personalize your emails.

And what better way to do that than by sharing stories?

By telling stories about your brand, your products, or your customers, you can create a sense of connection and make your emails more memorable and engaging.

Beyond the surface value

In order to build relationships with your audience, you need to give them a reason to stay subscribed to your emails.

One way to do this is by providing valuable content in your emails that goes beyond the surface. Don’t just give them tips and tricks. Give them value that shares more of your unique perspective as an online coach.

Consistency

Yep! Consistency is key when it comes to building relationships through email marketing.

This means sending emails at regular intervals (weekly, monthly, etc.), using a consistent brand voice, and maintaining a consistent look and feel for your emails.

By being consistent, your audience will come to expect and look forward to receiving emails from you, which can help to build trust and loyalty.

Creativity

There are endless ways to engage with your audience and build relationships through email, so don’t be afraid to think outside the box.

This could be through interactive elements like polls or quizzes, or by hosting events or webinars. Whatever it is, make sure it aligns with your brand and your audience, and have fun with it!

Hopefully, your mind has shifted about how you connect with your email subscribers. Now is the time to shift your perspective about email marketing from being a one-time transaction to being intentional about building long lasting relationships.
