With sweaty palms and about 5-10 tabs open in my brain, it was safe to say anxiety was creeping in.
This was the case nearly every day in my former TV news world.
After hours of lugging around equipment and chasing interviews, I was on a race against the clock to write and edit video for my story.
Knee deep into working, I’d either forget to eat OR I’d tell myself, “Danielle you don’t have time.”
TIME – the word that literally dictated the next few hours.
Because my story had to be in my producer’s queue at least by 4:50 PM.
Whew!
To calm myself, I’d usually take a deep breath and tell myself, “Just focus.”
“Just focus on one thing at a time.”
“And stop looking at the darn clock!”
These days, I have a sticky note in my copywriting & storytelling studio corner that says “Don’t manage time, manage your focus.”
I wish I’d discovered this quote when I worked in TV news.
Nonetheless, it’s a great reminder when I’m working on special internal projects for Chayil Media Publishing.
I refuse to entertain anxiousness of that capacity again.
And I don’t want you to either.
You’ve got a punch-list of things on your to-do list.
I get it.
When it comes to your brand’s copy you’re:
- Tired of tackling copywriting. It’s your least fave task
- Afraid to hand over big copywriting projects to your VA
- Frustrated about not truly connecting with your dream clients through your copy
- Disappointed about how your copy is performing for program or course launches
- Not sure how to infuse your copy with storytelling
- Confused about how to write a personality-driven copy
Whew! Sometimes, it can be a bit MUCH.
But at the end of the day, if you let anxiousness continually creep in, you’ll be frustrated AND burnt out.

I’m sure someone else can relate.
