Why I Still Think Like a Journalist

2 years ago, I left TV news reporting behind but guess what? ⠀

I STILL think like a journalist for my clients.

Look, I’m forever obsessed with strategy and enthused with storytelling, so it’s no surprise that I’ve merged my former reporting hat with Chayil Media Publishing. ⠀

What does this look like exactly? ⠀

Well, I still think like a journalist in terms of: ⠀

ALWAYS STRATEGIZING WAYS MY CLIENTS CAN STANT OUT

Bringing something different to the table is always key if you want to stand out from competitors. ⠀

Having a different or polarizing perspective is the best thing you can do. ⠀

Be BOLD.⠀

ALWAYS BEING FULL OF CURIOSITY FOR MY CLIENT’S CONTENT

I LOVE soaking up information about my clients and being curious about emerging trends.⠀

Both of these help me do my BEST work. ⠀

ALWAYS DIGGING DEEPER INTO THE FACTS

I’m not a fan of surface-level content. I love getting to the root and flipping them into cohesive narratives. This, of course, entails me asking TOUGH, yet necessary and GOOD questions. ⠀

These are just a few reasons why I stand by my Storytelling Meets Branding Framework: ⠀

1. Defining – Gaining clarity of your brand’s goals and needs⠀

2. Strategizing – Getting to the root of your brand’s messaging in order to drive action⠀

3. Extracting – Compiling all of your brand’s attributes to extract the most compelling facts and flip them into cohesive, sales-driven narratives ⠀

At the end of the day, I’m forever thinking like a journalist because I know the POWER of storytelling. ⠀
