5 Ways to Leverage Your Digital Content in 2020

by | Dec 3, 2019 | 0 comments

Can you believe that we’re headed into a new decade?

2020 is just weeks away! If you haven’t already started, now is the time to start brainstorming on how you can leverage your brand’s content in the new year.

Let me remind you that Q1 for your business is just as critical as Q4 for your business. While Q4 is essential in conducting content audits, re-thinking your content strategy, and implementing everything, Q1 is the time to keep the momentum going.

That’s why I’m giving 5 ways to leverage your content in 2020.

1.GET ORGANIZED

You’ve heard it more times than you would like to – that the new year is a time to start fresh! I believe every day is a time to start fresh for yourself and your business. Start now, in getting your systems organized for the new year. A calendar change isn’t necessary to commit to growth in your business. This includes everything from your brand’s website, newsletter, and social media channels.

2. RE-THINK YOUR BRAND STORY

Take a few moments to review your current brand story. A great brand story is engaging, provokes emotion, clearly states your values/mission, hits your potential customer’s or client’s pain points. Your brand’s story should leave the potential customer or client thinking “Wow! This brand could change my life or my business!”

3. PLAN ACCORDINGLY

Are there any key topics that you would like to bring to the attention of your audience throughout the year? I’m sure there are plenty. Write them down or place them in a Google Doc or Excel Sheet. This will help you stay on top of the content that your brand should be delivering on your website and social media channels.

4. INVEST IN YOUR BRAND’S PRESENCE

No one likes to see a brand relaying a message with a poor photo or video quality. There are solutions! Invest in better photography and videography for your business. If you can’t quite invest in a professional photographer or videographer right now, take out your smartphone. It’s very useful! No matter what type of brand you have there are plenty of apps and amazing stock photo sites that can correlate with your brand’s design. You will thank yourself! As a former TV reporter who shot my own stories most of the time, I know first-hand the value of investing in the visual aspect of your business.

5. GET SOCIAL

Having social media posts pushed out each day is simply not enough. Do your brand a favor and engage with other accounts, especially on Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Don’t limit yourself to one or two words. Instead, leave meaningful comments and share their content as well. Additionally, utilize social features like Facebook LIVE, Instagram Stories, and IGTV. Undoubtedly these companies recognize your activity and your content could reach more people who are interested in your brand.

Are these tips helpful for you?

If so, I would love to help you get started on leveraging your content in 2020. Whether it is with brand strategy, conversion copywriting for your website, SEO blog writing, or social media management, get in touch. Ring in the new year with content that converts on all scales.
