3 Reasons Why Your Business Needs an Instagram Aesthetic

Chances are your business is on Instagram, like millions of others across the world. But what makes your profile stand out in its niche? In other words, does your page have an Instagram aesthetic?

An Instagram aesthetic is what you’re known for by your audience. If your brand’s photos are carefully curated to provide a consistent look and feel across the board, then you have an Instagram aesthetic. If not, it’s time for us to have a conversation.

Take a look at the following photos. One is from my brand “Memoirs of a Virtuous Woman.” I carefully curated the feed to match the personality of the brand which is followed by women. The trick here is a beautiful template. However, to create an Instagram aesthetic, you can use a combination of your products and stock photos. The key is to make sure they are edited correctly to portray the same vibe.

Another example of an Instagram aesthetic is on Chayil Media Publishing’s page where I also used templates to give a specific message. I use the typewriter font here on the website a lot, so it was only fitting to include it on my business Instagram page.

Obviously, as a business owner, you take great pride in everything that your brand stands for. That confidence should be just as noticeable on your brand’s Instagram page. Here’s why:

1. GROW YOUR ACCOUNT

First impressions will always count! Let’s say, someone visits your page and find interest in your brand’s bio. But, the look of your Instagram feed is all over the place or confuses your message. That person, will quickly make the decision not to follow you. However, a brand with a consistent look will quickly get a follow.

2. GET THE ATTENTION OF INFLUENCERS

Maybe you have a product that you would love to share with Instagram influencers. Before reaching out to influencers, double-check your look! Why would they want to be part of representing your brand if you don’t care if it’s aesthetically pleasing? One of the reasons you’re obviously reaching out to them is because you love their Instagram aesthetic, so it’s only right that the same idea aligns in your brand.

3. MORE AUDIENCE INTERERACTIONS

It’s a conversation starter! People following you are guaranteed to engage in your content if it’s up to par! People want to relate to your brand. For instance, if you have a feminine brand – light, pastel colors, and feminine fonts do the trick. If you’re a fashion brand, you look could drive a bolder message. If you’re an ice cream shop, happier colors that pop, will make your audience do a double-take.
